AGE stands for Alesha Game Engine. AGE is a (completely) free 2D game engine for all. No license heck is involved in it. Everything on these web pages of AGE is free and carries no license at all.

The primary goal of AGE is to help those 'Wanna be game programmers', who are starting with no or very little experience of game development. It has a clean and simple architecture to understand & learn as your first game development engine.

AGE is an Object Oriented, 2D (can be easily extended to 3D) engine for PC platform. AGE uses DirectX® 9 as underlying platform. You can find AGE documentation here. For further help try to use forums, where we and other users would like to respond to all of your queries/suggestions/hates etc.
